AIR shines at workshop held by UNICEF

UNICEF organized a Media engagement on sanitation & Team Swachh on 16-17 May 2016 at Metropolitan Hotel in New Delhi.
The Workshop which was inaugurated by Ms Caroline Den Dulk, Chief of Advocacy& Communication, UNICEF India was attended by various journalists and media persons.

All India Radio was represented at the workshop by Programme Officers from Delhi , Nagpur, Kolkata , Mumbai , Chennai and Dharamshala. 

 The workshop which was held over two days consisted of a number of brainstorming sessions where Team Swachh initiatives were discussed extensively.  Many suggestions like the one submitted by Ms Ritu Rajput , ASD , AIR, Delhi were applauded .

An informative panel discussion was also conducted at the workshop. The panellists included Mr Rajeev Kumar Shukla , DDG,AIR,Delhi , Mr Pankaj Pachauri , Former advisor to PM & Health editor NDTV and Mr Sudhir Chaudhary, Editor ,Zee News. In his address to the participants , Mr Rajiv Kr Shukla , stressed the role of All India Radio in creating awareness towards these sensitive public issues .

On the final day, the participants who were divided into groups were asked to make presentations before a panel comprising of Ms Rose George, Senior Journalist and Author, Ms Geetanjali Master, Communication Specialist and Ms Sonia Sarkar , Communication Officer. The radio drama presented by AIR officers was appreciated and adjudged as the winners.
