AIR Rairungpur (Mayurbhanj, Odisha) inaugurated
On 10th January 2016, AIR Rairungpur (Mayurbhanj, Odisha) was inaugurated by Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan. The operating frequency of this FM transmitter is 102.0 MHz. This is the 21st relay transmitter of All India Radio in the state of Odisha.
The coverage of this transmitter is about 18-20 km radius. It is expected to reach to about 50,000- 75,000 population in and around Rairangpur.
AIR Rairangpur was taken into service w.e.f 24.04.2014 with single shift transmission from 16.53 to 23.05 Hrs and presently it is relaying AIR Cuttack programmes.
Rairangpur is a city and a Municipality in Mayurbhanj district with the district headquarters at Baripada in the state of Odisha. It is situated at about 85 Kms from Baripada and about 80 km away from Jamshedpur.
