Completion of 86 Years of Radio Broadcasting in India

On the occasion of Completion of 86 Years of Radio Broadcasting in India ,All India Radio Delhi organised a 
Symposium : "Radio in Digital Age" on  23rd July 2013.

Speakers including noted Agricultural Scientist Dr M. S. Swaminathan, have extolled All India Radio (AIR) for its services to the country and its people for the past over eight decades. Other speakers include classical singer VIdhushi Shanti Hiranad, famous literary critic Prof. Namwar Singh, Agriculture Scientist  Prof. R. B. Singh,  Senior Journalist Sh B.G. Vergese and Prof. R. K Singh. 
Along with the speakers there was various All India Radio senior Officials and others radio lovers was attended the symposium. This programme was held in Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan Auditorium  Copernicus Lane, Kasturba Gandhi Marg, New Delhi.


Musical Evening 
On that particular day i.e., 23rd July 2013. Musical evening was organised with the presentations by the AIR Orchestra (on 100 Years of Indian Cinema) by TONY and a Ghazal presentation by Ustad Ahmed Hussain Mohammed Hussain,"
On this special day Air Archive's rare collections of picture was inaugurated by D. G. AIR MR leeladhar Mandloi & D. G of Doordarshan Mr. Tripurai Sharan. Prizes was given to the selected radio listeners by these digniteries.
Venue was Sri Ram Centre, Safdar Hashmi Marg,Mandi House, New Delhi
