A treat for book aficionados and an apt hangout for bookworms this Sunday, the Delhi Book Fair is the perfect place for an ‘imaginative getaway’ this weekend.
The Delhi Book Fair being held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, offers a wide ranging variety of books, catering to readers of all age groups.
One of the major highlights of the Book Fair is the Publications Division (Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Govt. of India) stall. The stall in association with Prasar Bharati, is celebrating #70YearsofIndependence , with the theme, “Yaad Karo Kurbaani Azaadi Ki Kahaani , Kitaabon Ki Zubaani” .
The stall instills a sense of patriotism in the hearts of the visitors and acts as a reminder of the Freedom Struggle as the books at the stall are related to the "Immortal Saga of Freedom Struggle'. Publications on Mahatma Gandhi are also featured at the stall.
In a day and age when digitization is ruling the roost, it is heartening to see people from all around the city still show enthusiasm about printed books.
